Privacy notice for the DAYLAIGHT ChatGPT Connector
This notice explains how the DAYLAIGHT Chrome extension handles content selected by a creator in ChatGPT and hands it to the DAYLAIGHT web application.

Processing only after your action
The extension does not continuously monitor conversations. It reads content only after you select a DAYLAIGHT capture action and have given the prominent in-extension consent. You may revoke this consent at any time from the extension toolbar menu.
Data handled by the extension
Depending on your selection, the extension handles the visible text of one prompt-and-answer section or the complete visible conversation, the conversation title, ChatGPT page address, message roles and capture time. It does not request or read ChatGPT passwords, authentication cookies, payment data or unrelated browser tabs.
Temporary local handoff
A prepared capture is kept in Chrome session storage on your device for no more than 30 minutes. It is not embedded in the destination URL. It is removed automatically when the timer expires and Chrome session storage is also cleared when the browser session ends.
Transfer and project evidence
The extension opens app.daylaight.ai, where you choose a project and can review, edit or remove messages. Content is transmitted to DAYLAIGHT over HTTPS only when you separately confirm the capture form. DAYLAIGHT stores the selected content as a project evidence file; the original ChatGPT page address is represented only by a cryptographic hash in that evidence record.
Purpose and legal basis
The processing serves the creator-requested documentation of a creative process. The extension reads and temporarily prepares content on the basis of your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Confirmed project evidence is processed to provide the DAYLAIGHT service under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Retention
Temporary extension data expires after no more than 30 minutes. Confirmed project evidence remains associated with the DAYLAIGHT project until it is deleted at your request or retention is required for contractual or legal purposes.
Sharing and limited use
DAYLAIGHT does not sell extension data, use it for personalized advertising or permit employees to read project evidence for unrelated purposes. Human access is limited to cases where you request support and consent to access, or where access is required for security or legal obligations. Service providers may process data only as necessary to operate and secure DAYLAIGHT.
Security
The extension uses narrowly scoped access to chatgpt.com and app.daylaight.ai, contains no remotely executed code and transfers confirmed evidence only over HTTPS. DAYLAIGHT records an evidence hash so later changes can be detected.
ChatGPT and OpenAI
The DAYLAIGHT ChatGPT Connector is an independent DAYLAIGHT product and is not endorsed by or affiliated with OpenAI. Your use of ChatGPT remains subject to OpenAI's own terms and privacy information.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, withdraw consent for future captures, object where applicable and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact the controller using the address above.
